A Work in Progress...

View Comments
Despite my busy schedule (wife-mom-work), I still make it a point to pick up my hooks and yarns once in a while... Crocheting, just like beading, reading books and blogging, has always been my way of relaxation.  But I must say that it serves as my #1 most of the time... Mainly because I love making crochet items for the people I love.

For a month now I've been desperately looking for a nice crochet sandals pattern that I can follow for my daughter. I am working on one and here's a snap shot of it:

Together with the printed pattern I saw online, I am using 2 balls of crochet thread and a size 2.10mm steel hook. The one you're seeing is the actual sole of the left foot of the slippers however, I ended up breaking it again because I couldn't figure out whether I missed a step or there's discrepancy in the pattern I am using. Either way, I am sad. Makes me really want to just purchase one MJ pattern from Etsy!

Oh well, well see...
I'll definitely post the picture of the finished slippers here anyway.
You'll just have to watch out for it :)

But until then...
I have to cut this blog short now because I will have to bath PM.

Hiatus Mode

View Comments
It's been a while since I last posted something to this blog...
And quite frankly, it's not because I lost the hang of it but I haven't had much time on my hand to do crochet projects after my baby's birth. :(
My baby + the office work load that I currently have are the things thats been eating most of my time the past month.

Last night though, I tried to pick up my hook and yarns again.
I've been wanting so bad to make Pm an MJ sandals...

I have this free improvised MJ pattern that I saw online. I am currently working on it and keeping my fingers crossed to finishing it soon. However, I only have the sole done last night because I had to stop to put my baby to sleep.

But as soon as I am done with it, I promise to post a picture of how it turned out.

Aaahhh... crocheting still gives me this natural high... I am so much in love with it! :)

Another Simple-Cutesy Cellphone Purse

View Comments
I made this very simple purple cellphone purse for my mom... and one more of the same kind, just a different charm attached, for Cheska.

And what other things I'm trying to whip? I would like to make baby slippers / sandals for PM. Currently on the look-out for a Mary Jane slippers free pattern that I can make + the adorable double strap crocheted sandals I saw online! I want. want. want. need. those free patterns!

Okay, so bye again for now... gotta start looking for those free patterns that I need.

Side Tracked... Again.

View Comments
I mentioned in one of my previous post that I have started doing the shawl of amah. However, since my globe cell purse got broken and is a little too old already (must be the yarn, it's not really that good) I decided to make me one purse again, but this time using the Cannon size 8 thread.

I love its color because it's almost the same as my phone and the way it actually fits the phone. And since the cell purse I have made for Angie isn't really that polished, I am thinking of redoing one and using a thread instead of a yarn. After all, I have a purple thread. Only problem is, it would have to wait a little more while again since I promised to make a yellow one for shobe too.

Another thing that I've made is PM's red hat. We're attending angkong's birthday celebration tomorrow so I have decided to make her a red hat to match her red dress... =)

Check it out!
